Ramadan in Gaza: This is what it looks like

During Ramadan, Muslims around the world fast from dawn until dusk each day. Pictures of Muslims in Gaza breaking their fast are circulating on social media. Almost a year after the seven week war with Israel last summer, you can see how the Gazans break their fast amidst the rubble with concrete slabs and pylons on the background.

On the first Friday of Ramadan, 500 Gazans were allowed to travel to the Al Aqsa Mosque, Islam’s third holiest site, for Friday prayers. About 200,000 Muslims joined there to pray.
