Mango launches Ramadan collection for Muslim women

It is that time of the year again. The Holy month of Ramadan is getting closer. Mango thought this would be the perfect moment to bring out a new collection. Ladies, here it is: Mango’s one and only Ramadan collection, available in (online) stores as from the 8th of June.

The Ramadan collection may seem to be focused on Muslim women, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t suitable for every woman. These clothes are only slightly wider and they cover more. Apart from that, they’re just as elegant and fancy as those of other collections. A fashionable way in fact to show the outside world that covering up isn’t the same as being oppressed.

Mango isn’t the only fashion chain that makes good use of Ramadan. Last year, the American DKNY launched a similar collection with pieces of clothing designed by two bloggers from the Middle East that were then only available in that region.

These dresses are actually recycles from previous lines and were later replaced with designs for the new season. I own the white one and almost purchased the teal one (they had it in navy which I liked better). They were very reasonably price, although I purchased mine on sale in March for $40. Who knows if they’ll mark it up due to the Ramadan season. I do love Mango for their modest dresses in general.
