J.K. Rowling surprised a Muslim fan with a funny birthday gift

J K Rowling made one of her fans really happy. The author of the world famous Harry Potter books is known to be quite active on Twitter and interacting with fans.

Mujtabi Alvi, a 21-year-old Muslim fan from Toronto who was fasting, tweeted about one of the Harry Potter books. He was reading Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix and wrote that the descriptions of food in this book weren’t making fasting easier.

And surprise, surprise: J.K. Rowling actually answered!

Rowling suggested that he read Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows instead. In the last book of the series, Harry, Ron and Hermione are often forced to go without food.

The best part of this conversation is that it was Mujtaba’s birthday. So J.K. Rowling answering his tweet was a pretty awesome birthday gift.
