Just a few days after President of the United Sates, Joe Biden finished his 3-day visit to Israel, the country launched an intense missile strike on the Gaza Strip.
In the early hours of Saturday morning, the Israeli military announced that it successfully targeted a rocket-manufacturing site run by Hamas in central Gaza.
“In response to the attacks from the Gaza Strip on Israeli territory, the IDF is continuing to target Hamas weapons manufacturing sites in the Gaza Strip,” the Israel Defense Forces said in a statement. “The site targeted was one of the largest and most important sites in the Strip for the production of base materials for rockets by terror groups,” they added.
Video footage of the incident show raging fires at approximately 5 A.M in the morning after the missiles landed in the area. Palestinians were woken up by the sound of destruction but thankfully, no casualties have been reported as a result of the bombs yet and this was later confirmed by Al Jazeera’s Youmna ElSayed, who is reporting from the scene.
Most of the area around the site was agricultural, she told the outlet.

The news comes just days after Joe Biden finished his 3-day trip to the area ahead of his Saudi Arabian leg. Israeli nationalists embraced the U.S. President with open arms as he came to encourage better relations between the two states in a bid to persuade Washington’s Gulf allies to pump more oil.
During his speech, he described the United States’ relationship with Israel as “bone-deep.”
“You do not need to be a Jew to be a Zionist,” Biden added, voicing support for the ideology behind Israel’s foundation on stolen land.
This ideology has deeply effected Palestinians who have had their home colonised at the hands of the government as well as Jewish and Israeli zionists.
We hope that Palestinians get justice for what is happening to them and peace can once again take priority all through the land.
