Now as an entrepreneur she has achieved her dreams many times over as the president and co-owner of Sierra Nevada Corporation (SNC), a private defense and aerospace company.

Today the company has brought space closer to you and me through its many ventures. With about 3000 employees in 34 locations in the United States, Germany, United Kingdom and Turkey, the company has enabled the world to rekindle its hope of a space era after the US shuttle program.

The story of this mighty venture is nevertheless a humble one. Eren obtained her MBA from the University of Nevada, Reno in 1988 and then joined the SNC in 1988. Together with her husband Fatih she proved her determination and enthusiasm in chasing her dreams until they acquired the company in 1994 which was then a small organization with just 20 employees. The visionary new owners of the SNC proved their leadership and visionary thinking by expanding the company in scale and diversifying through many acquisitions.

Eren has received a great number of recognitions and awards for her work. Her company being awarded as one of the World’s Top 10 Most Innovative Companies in Space and the America’s Fastest-Growing Private Companies, Inc. is one of the significant milestones.
