Education is not accessible all around the world. Some parts of the world are still struggling with domestic chaos whereas other parts of the world neglect their disappointing policy towards college enrollment. This phenomenon is often found in the Arab world, where education is not for all.
Where I came from, it was considered a blessing. The people I grew up with however had to move to other countries where education was accessible and of quality. Not only were they forced to leave their homes and loved ones. They were also forced to overcome their fear of failure. But the motivation made them successful. Their goal was to be able to provide for their family and I believe that is the true characteristic of a role model. Someone who sacrifices in order to see other prosper.
I think many readers can relate to the fact that people who had the opportunity to go abroad and start a new life, are usually people who are an example in their society. I believe we are a generation who were inspired by many and eventually will spark other minds to pursue their hopes and aspirations.
Education is not only found in schools but in other environments as well.
“If you educate a woman, you can educate an entire generation.” – Brigham Young
Education is everywhere, we are obliged to pay attention.
“Education is our passport to the future, for tomorrow belongs to the people who prepare for it today.” – Malcolm X
Malcolm was advised by his high school English teacher not to pursue his dream of becoming a lawyer, he later on fought to make sure other individuals were given the opportunity to pursue their goals.
We should commemorate the fact that we are blessed beyond our belief and that so many misfortunate people would give the world to be given the same opportunity.
Let us inspire and motivate one another for in order for us to build a wall, we should become a brick of support for others.
