Jakarta’s Modest Fashion Week may have ended, but not to worry, we still got some brands we’d love to share with you. It was a tough decision to make, but I finally listed my favourite top 5. Enjoy!
1. Up2date Plus
First of all, let’s start with a real Indonesian brand. Up2date Plus is a fashion brand designed by Irna Mutiara. She showed us a very cute, yet cool look. The theme was very clear: kids, stay at school!
2. Gee Batik
I must admit, those Indonesian designers really hit it off. Gee Batik by Sugeng Waskito designed a marvelous clothing line, giving us some real African vibes. Just look at that model shining!
3. Three Little Ahmads
We all know how kids can be cute, but I’m guessing you’ve never seen a kid owning a catwalk. Well, let me show you the most adorable clothing line straight outta Singapore. And you know what? Red might be the new black.
4. Imen Bousnina
Watch out, Austria! There’s a new modest fashion designer in town and she’s aiming high! It looks like Imen Bousnina found the perfect combination between sporty, casual and above all: remaining fashionable.
5. Women of Haya
What do you know about love at first sight? Because I believe I actually fell in love with this most beautiful abaya by Katijah Aziz from Brunei. This designer combined the keffiyeh with the abaya in an amazing way.
I was amazed by all the beautiful outfits and creative combinations. The Jakarta fashion week was mesmerizing and I can’t wait for the next editions!
