5 Duas to Get You Through Exam Season

For all of us that have been through the stress that is exam season and made it out alive, we can confidently tell you that there’s no pain in the world quite like it. Okay, that might be a little bit dramatic, but that’s how it feels when you’re in the midst of it.

But here are a few duas that you can depend on to help lighten the burden, especially if your exams fall during the holy month of Ramadan.

1. “O my Sustainer! Open up my heart and make my task easy for me, and loosen the knot from my tongue so that they might fully understand my speech.” [Qur’an 20:25-28]

“Rabbishrah lee sadree Wayassir lee amree Wahlul ‘uqdatan min lisanee Yafqahoo qawlee.”

2. “My Lord! Increase me in knowledge.” [Qur’an 20:114]

“Rabi zidnee ‘ilma.”

3. “O Allah! Nothing is easy except what You have made easy. If You wish, You can make the difficult easy.[Al-Bukhari 7/158. See also Al-Asqalani, Fathul-Bari 11/173.]

“Allahumma la sahla illama ja-‘altahu sahla wa anta taj ‘alu al hazana etha shi’ta sahla.”

4. “O Allah, I seek refuge with You from worry, grief, incapacity, laziness, miserliness, cowardice, debt, and being overpowered by (other) men.” [Ibn Hibbaan, 3/255; classed as saheeh by al-Albaani in al-Silsilah al-Saheehah, 2886.]

“Allahumma inni a’udhu bika minal-hammi, wal-hazani, wal-‘ajzi, wal-kasali, wal-bukhli, wal-jubni, wad-daini, wa ghalabatar-rijal.”

5. “Exalted are You; we have no knowledge except what You have taught us. Indeed, it is You who is the Knowing, the Wise.” [Qur’an 2:32]

Here’s hoping Allah makes it easier for you!

In the mixed society we live today, we went looking for the ideal platform for Muslims. And of course, we didn’t find it. So we made one ourselves.
